City of Hamilton - Forestry & Horticulture

The City of Hamilton Forestry Section maintains 120,000+ trees located in parks, open spaces, and cemeteries, and over 300,000 street trees. The Horticulture Section grows plant material in our 18,000 sq.ft. greenhouse for the 309 floral traffic medians in the City of Hamilton. Other responsibilities include high profile parks featuring Sam Lawrence Park on the mountain brow, Gage Park, The Fall Garden & Chrysanthemum Show, and a Tropical Greenhouse which is open to the public.
